'Love Jihad' in Bihar: Muslim man hides identity, marries Hindu girl in Siwan

Siwan (Bihar): In an alleged case of love jihad, a Muslim man allegedly concealed his religious identity and married a Hindu girl in Bihar.
The incident was reported in Nirala Nagar locality of Siwan district wherein the victim was fraternised by her English tutor, said reports.
The accused, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, had a coaching centre where the girl, who was once a student at the centre, was kept as staff after her course at the coaching centre was over.
The victim alleged that the accused posed as Sameer Khanna and adorned Hindu symbols, including Kalawa (scared thread worn on wrists by people from Hindu community). He later married her in court on March 17, 2017. However, it was only after the marriage was solemnised, the accused revealed his ‘choice of faith’, added reports.
Meanwhile, Siwan SP Shailesh Kumar Sinha has taken cognisance of the case and ordered an enquiry into the matter.
